Whenever I pass by CM Recto Avenue, it’s hard not to notice 1A Express Hotel. It is placed at a strategic and striking spot on that street which is known as One Avenue building. The white and blue combination of the building’s color scheme is so calming, inviting and fixating.

Since me and my husband was so attracted to the area, we decided to book a Superior room and experience a weekend staycation at 1A Express Hotel. After all, we’ve been working so hard and deserve some quiet, quality time with one another. We didn’t regret our decision choosing this place.

That is why let me share with you 10 best reasons why you too, should check in at this hotel:

Comfort

The hotel offers rooms that have comfortable beds and soft cotton pillows that gave us a really good sleep. It felt like we didn’t want to come out of bed, thus increasing our rest time together.

The level of comfort they gave us is very high and I’m sure you’ll feel the same once you experience it yourself. Once we got inside the room, we immediately felt at home, it’s a good place to rest and forget all your worries for a while.

Convenience

1A Express Hotel is located in a very accessible location, just a short ride 30 minutes from home and we’re there. Since it is in the heart of the city, it’s also a short walk or ride away from key spots in the city such as; hospitals, pharmacies, spas, salons, cafés, restaurants, malls and night life spots.

Actually, inside their building lie a convenience store, a laundry shop, a beauty salon and a spa as well. So if you need any of these services or need to buy some food items, they’re just within reach.

Me and hubby even tried one of the services from their in-house spa, called Revival Spa. We tried their Fish Spa services and Swedish massage which provided us ultimate relaxation and relieved our tired bodies.

Clean Facilities and Surroundings

The cleanliness at 1A is very impressive! Every corner of their facilities is squeaky clean. You can tell they have strict rules in cleanliness because the hotel is really well-maintained.

When we visited their dining area, walked through their pathways and even at the receiving area of the hotel, we can attest that the place is indeed very clean.

Spacious Rooms

I can say that 1A Express Hotel is able to give good value for money because the room we stayed in was very spacious! We had enough space to walk around and there’s a proper place for everything including our belongings and the clothes we brought.

1A Express Hotel has three types of rooms; Superior, Family Deluxe and Suite. Prices are subject to change from time to time so check out their Facebook page for the current rates. Overall, there are 25 rooms in the hotel.

Fast and Stable Internet Connection

One of the best things I loved about the place is their fast and stable internet connection! For a blogger and online worker like me, this is a must as I love to work anywhere and it includes at 1A. Now I know where I can run to when I want to work in a peaceful environment and with fast internet connection.

This is also ideal for businessmen who need to work mobile as they no longer need to go to an internet café or to coffee shops just to get their work done. Guests can gain free internet access once checked in.

Big and Delicious Breakfast Meals

Since our room came with a free breakfast for two, we were amazed with the huge servings of the food they served us.

Some of the food choices for breakfast are the following; pancakes with butter, special oatmeal mix, house special fried chicken, beef tapa, fried bangus, pork tocino and chicken tocino. Everything comes with garlic rice, fried egg, juice and a choice of coffee or hot chocolate.

We went with House Special Fried Chicken and Pork Tocino. They were very satisfying and delicious!

Breakfast meals are served only from 7-10 am so make sure to take note of the time in case you love to wake up late so you can catch up with your free breakfast when checked in.

Their dining area is also used as a function room for customers. It is ideal for intimate or business meetings and discussions. The usage of this area costs P2,000 and is good for 4 hours, an additional of P1,000 per hour is required for succeeding hours. Guests are allowed to bring their own food or get suggestions from the hotel management as to where they can have their food catered.

Instagrammable Place

There are several spots at 1A Express Hotel where guests can take great pictures for Instagram and other social media accounts.

The place is well-decorated and several areas at the hotel make good backgrounds for pictures.

Great Ambiance and Design

1A Express Hotel has a relaxed and warm atmosphere/ambiance. I like how quiet it appears outside when it’s actually very beautiful and luxurious inside especially in their rooms.

The design is classy and minimalist.

Respectful and Accommodating Staff

The staff is very polite and courteous. When we entered, they greeted us with big smiles on their faces. They respond well to inquiries and requests. This is very important to make guests feel welcome and want to come back to the place.

Perfect for Couples

For couples who want to have a weekend getaway from home but don’t really want to go far, 1A Express Hotel is the best place to be.
