What a weekend that was at Apple Tree Resort & Hotel! It was a memorable 3-day event that was Endless Summer 2018. Finally, we have a summer event to look forward to every year and this one certainly didn’t disappoint.
In case you missed it, here’s a complete rundown of what took place during this momentous event!
DAY ONE
The first day of Endless Summer 2018 began with Opening Remarks delivered by Apple Tree Resort & Hotel’s Sales Manager, Ms. Evelyn Geverola. She welcomed everyone including the participants and gave an inspirational message as well.
An Oath of Sportsmanship followed to make sure the participants know the rules of the games and to ensure everything will run smoothly in the competitions.
After that, the Skimboarding Clinic, Beach Volley Competition, Shore-Breaks 4 (Skimboarding Competition Beginner’s Category) commenced.
In the evening, Reggae Night by the Harley Band took place which enabled everyone to relax by the sea and enjoy soothing reggae tunes playing in the background. An unexpected turn of events happened suddenly as there was actually a “Bikini Abre” competition to be held that night which absolutely drew laughs from the crowd! What a way to conclude the First day!
DAY TWO
To ensure that the beach and coastal area is clean before the day’s activities begin, a Coastal Clean-up was spearheaded by Apple Tree’s General Manager, Ms. Bjanesha Emphasis, and her staff.
Then it was now time for the Beach Volley Competition (Quarter Final Round). Every time the players would spike the ball, the sound was so exciting and intense! You’ll surely find yourself glued to their every move.
For photography enthusiasts who wanted to further develop their skills comes the Photography Workshop (Discussing Topics 1 and 2) for the day.
The Shore-Breaks 4 (Kids Category Final Round) and (Beginner’s Category Final Round) also took place. We were amazed at the passion for the sport these kids displayed, you can tell they’ve been practicing everyday judging by their moves. It’s as if they were born to Skim.
In the afternoon, Shore-Breaks 4 (Masters and Advance Category) Elimination Round took place and here you will really see the real key players of the game.
Each move and technique truly displayed their skimboarding prowess, much to the excitement of the onlookers! During the skimboarding competition is also where the Photography Contest took place for the players were going to be the subjects of these photos.
Another highlight of Endless Summer’s Day Two was the Zumbathon competition! Zumba addicts from all over the city gathered in this fun dance contest. How cool is that? You get to win an overnight stay at the resort just by shaking your booty and doing your favorite workout?
The final part of Day 3 was what everybody was waiting for, it’s the Endless Summer 2018’s Beach, Pool and Foam Party!
Guest DJ Catty Muto and resident DJ’s The Rainman, Lady J, Kitty G and Don Cash together with MC Harley pumped up the crowd with their lively and cool beats to which everybody danced to.
When the foam was released, it drove the crowd wild and made them dance even more!
Everybody had a good time and it was indeed a night to remember!
DAY THREE
Now we’ve come to the last part of the event, the day began with a Coastal Clean up once again to ensure everything is in tip-top shape before starting anything.
It was then time for the final round of the Beach Volley Competition, Photography Workshop & Seminar (Topic 3 and 4), Shore-Breaks 4 (Advance and Masters Category Final Round) and Day 2 of the Photography Competition.
The highlight in the afternoon was the CDOTC MTC Sports in Active Wear Show by Daddy Gabby and his angels.
Then to concluded this memorable 3-day event, an awarding ceremony took place where a message by a representative of Gov. Bambi Emano was delivered to inspire the crowd.
The winners of the competitions were announced and received their prizes on stage.
A Live Acoustic band played in the background which formally sealed Endless Summer 2018. ‘Til next year! Congratulations Apple Tree Resort & Hotel for your successful event!
