Last April 21, 2017, Friday, Oro Chamber hosted the Mindanao Business Conference 2017 Media Launching at the Xavier Estates Sports and Country Club. Several representatives from both print and digital media were present.
VIP’s present at the event include; Hon. Mayor Oscar Moreno, Oro Chamber officers and representatives of various government agencies to deliver their individual speeches regarding the conference.
About the Conference
The 26th Mindanao Business Conference also known as MINBIZCON is hosted by the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce. The event will take place on September 7-9, 2017 at the Xavier Estates Sports and Country Club.
According to Oro Chamber’s President Robert Pizarro, they are expecting around a thousand business investors, executives, key players, micro, small and medium enterprises and some policy makers to participate in this grand event.
The theme of the conference will be “Emerging Opportunities – One Mindanao”. President Rodrigo Duterte is going to be the keynote speaker of MINBIZCON 2017 and that surely gets everybody excited. What exactly is this conference all about and what is it for?
The Mindanao Business Conference is one of the biggest and highly-anticipated events each year. This is where business leaders, stake holders, professionals from government and private sectors and policy makers gather to talk about policy issues and concerns through a forum and implementation of resolutions that affect businesses in Mindanao.
According to Oro Chamber President Robert Pizarro, papers from the MINBIZCON will be included in the action/policy agenda of PCCI (Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry) which will be submitted to President Duterte at the Philippine Business Conference on October.
Who will host this prestigious event? They’re no other than, Mayor Oscar S. Moreno and Governor Bambi Emano. DOST, DTI and DA are cooperators of the event. Members of the Executive Committee for the MINBIZCON 2017 include; Robert E. Pizarro, Orochamber President, Past President Ruben A. Vegafria, Chairman, Minbizcon 2017, PP Antonio D. Uy, PCCI VP for Mindanao, PP Efren T. Uy, PCCI Regional Governor, Northern Mindanao and chairmen of various management committees. Co-covenor of the two-day business event is the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), created under Republic Act. No. 9996 on February 17, 2010 under President Gloria Arroyo.
