Through the opening of Robinsons Place Valencia, residents of the place no longer have to travel 3-4 hours just to buy some groceries, go shopping or even watch movies. Yesterday was the Grand Opening of Robinsons Place Valencia and the excitement of the people was truly felt in so many ways. You can really see people flocking in coming from different parts of Bukidnon and even from Cagayan de Oro and Manila.
The mall has 3 floors and it is situated in Dologon-Busco-Quezon Road and has a unique design with colors that serve as a tribute to the city’s signature product, the pineapple, everybody’s seeing “yellow” as they enter. Some of the chairs where people can rest are designed to look like pineapple slices and the pillars that surround the building look like pineapples as well.
Soon, an alfresco dining area and more greenery will be added outside to surround the area and make it look more attractive and environment-friendly.
Robinsons is one of the leaders when it comes to the mall industry in the Philippines. Robinsons Place Valencia is 51st Robinsons mall in the Philippines and it is the 17th in Mindanao.
Why did Robinsons Corporation choose Valencia City and not another when there are several other cities in Bukidnon that are also good locations for a mall? The main reasons is that Valencia is known as the center of trade and commerce in Bukidnon plus it serves as an urbanized hub strategically placed between two giant progressive cities, Davao and Cagayan de Oro. Media representatives and Bloggers from Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro were invited to witness the Grand Opening and tour the different shops, brands, and restaurants of Robinsons Place Valencia.
We were able to visit Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Appliances, Robinsons Supermarket, Toys R Us, Daiso Japan, Handyman, Digiworld, Movieworld, Food Gallery and Gerry’s Grill.
Grand Opening Program
To entertain the mall goers and to make the Grand Opening a memorable one, celebrity guest Xiam Lim serenaded the crowd with his songs and delighted the crowd with photos taken with them even going as far as bringing them up on stage and singing for them.
As for the male mall-goers, Miss Earth Philippines 2018 – Sylvia Cortesi also made an appearance and greeted everyone.
To complete the Grand Opening of Robinsons Place Valencia, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the stage with Robinsons Corp executives, partners and some of the top officials of the city like Mayor Azucena Huervas and many others.
Speeches were also delivered by Ms. Arlene Magtibay, Mayor Azucena Huervas, and Councilor Policarpio Murillo.
Grand Opening Events
The opening celebration will last till the end of the month with guestings by Enzo Pineda today (December 13), PinkFong and Baby Shark on the 16th, Tayo the Little Bus on December 20 capping with an outdoor concert and fireworks display on December 30.
